Nomadic herder’s unique culture, life style, untouched vast land and beautiful land are the key success factors of Mongolian tourism and its’ development.
Mongolia is a destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers but tourism sector faces some difficulties like development policy, unplanned activities and wrong perception about tourism industry as easy way of making money. It is prior to work together and have same understanding of sustainable and responsible tourism development principles and practices due to avoid and overcome such difficulties and obstacles in the future.
Mongolian sustainable tourism principles can focus on the preserving natural environment, strengthening traditional culture and life style and the restoring negative impacts of tourism over development and providing opportunity to local people to participate in tourism activities and development. With the proper planning and supporting local people’s income could give motivation to local people to be proud of their traditional way of living, their culture and tourism can be one vehicle to preserve the environment.
